Halloween Fun

We had a fun Halloween this year. At the last minute Brad wanted to be Mickey Mouse, we are thankful grandma was close to save the day by making the costume since the Disney store was out. I wanted Jack to wear Brad bat costume from last year, but the one time I tried it on him he hated it, so he got to be a USC football player...not the best night for it, but he loved it and did not complain about it once. He loves anything sports already, so I think it was a better fit for him anyway.

Friday night we had a church Halloween party with a chili dinner, trick-or-treating, and ended with the spoke alarm going off from a fog machine. It was a nice way to get everyone out of the building so we could clean up and get home early.

Brad enjoying the giraffe giving him candy, his friend Tanner was not liking it so much.

Jack got 2 pieces of candy in each had and was as happy as could be.

Brad and his pumpkin.

Jack and his pumpkin.

This is how we carve pumpkins at our house...with a saw, on Halloween day. I am just happy I don't have to help too much. I love to see carved pumpkins, but I don't like doing it. The boys loved watching, and helping a little. Neither would touch the insides...thankfully Daddy will.

The finished products...I guess I need to get a better picture. And one of the boys together in their costumes. I have not been much for taking pictures the past few months. Hopefully I can get it together soon.

Jack in his spooky shirt...the loved it!

Saturday night we went to some friends for dinner and donuts. So, again this year we got out of taking the boys trick-or-treating. I figure we will try as long as we can.

I love this stuff!!!

I just got the Williams-Sonoma email announcing they have it in stores now...how long will I be able to hold out?

PS: I am 32 weeks today, only 7 weeks until Annie is scheduled to come...6 if she takes after her older brothers. And, for everyone else that means 8 weeks to CHRISTMAS!!! Can you believe it?!?!

When Daddy starts the dishwasher...

...make sure he knows to use the dishwasher soap, and not the dish soap!

I was trying to think of something to blog about since it has been forever. But, I have been camera lazy and have not taken any pictures in weeks. So, I was just going to the kitchen to get my ultrasound pictures from today, and lookie what care across. So, I had to grab the camera as Dave ran for some towels. The first picture is pretty blurry, I am sure because I could not stop laughing.

It all ended well, and the floor got clean in the process. I was actually a little sad the boys were sleeping...they would have loved all the bubbles!

I did post the ultrasound pictures...just keep scrolling down to see them.

More Ultrasound Pictures

I had a doc visit today: ultrasound, blood work for the diabetes test (yes, I got to drink the yummy sugar drink), pee in the cup (so fun), and a quick chat with the OB to end my two hour visit. Annie is looking good, the kidneys do have a little extra fluid, but they said nothing to be worried about. They will do another (#5) ultrasound in 3 weeks to keep tabs on it. I have never had this many ultrasounds but, it's fun to see her each time. She is 3 lb 15 oz, and just like the boys her size is 2 weeks ahead of her due date. Yea!!! I am hoping she will come two weeks early just like they did.

She is looking at you. It looks like she has big cheeks like Jack...pretty cute don't you think!
Another face shot.

When I told Brad that I was going to go to the doctor he did not want me to go, so I told him I would bring him home some more pictures of baby Annie. Then he told me he wanted to come too because baby Annie really wanted to see him...awe. I almost gave in and took him, but I knew it would be long and I am so glad that I left him home...2 hours would have made us both very unhappy. Maybe next time. He is really getting excited for her.
What surprised me was when I got home and showed him the pictures, he could tell just what they were. Her face, with a cute nose, her feet (I spared you with only 3, we do have more). The only one he could not identify was the picture that clarified again that she really is a girl.

Because...

I should be taking a nap since Dave and Brad are gone, and Jack is sleeping...but, I am not. I guess I could be cleaning the bathrooms (my last major cleaning of the day), but that may wake Jack up...and I am not willing to take that risk. So, for now here are a few pictures of my not so baby, baby Jack. I miss him being a baby! Except for the diapers and the two naps a day, he is pretty much out of the baby stages.

He loves cookies, and I think sugar cookies are his new favorite!

He also loves the camera and just like Brad is always trying to get a hold of it to take a picture of his own.

Second try is a success!

I had my follow up Ultrasound today. Here is what the tech saw just as she put the wand on my stomach...perfect shot of a girl! Annie Kate will be her name.

It was the same tech, so she was happy to get a better view this time. She also got some good pictures of the spine, that's what she was missing from last time. I will have one more in 4 weeks to check up on the Kidneys. The pelvis opening (it's part of the kidney, not the pelvis bone) is a little big on the right side. It's a problem that usually will correct it's self with time, so they will check it in October. Hopefully by then it will be normal.

We are all very excited to have a girl join the family. Dave is worried that she will show up ugly to Church on the weeks he gets the kids ready while I am at meetings. I am not too worried, I can always work some magic in the car before they come in. Brad has known all along that he will have a sister, and Candice will be her name. Then he can be Phineas, and Jack Ferb. You have to watch Disney Channel to get that one. Jack, I think he will love to have a baby around, but for now he just likes to look for my Grand Canyon of a belly button and try to stick his finger in. I think it so gross, so I won't let him, but he still has to try. As for me, I can not lie, I look forward to the shopping, and turning the nursery from sports to pink and girlie. I guess I have a lot to keep me busy for the next 15 weeks.

Backyard Camping

A few weeks ago Brad found the tent in the basement and wanted to know what it was...so, I told the truth. He wanted to get it out, so I did, and we put it up. He was so excited! He and Jack filled it with toys to play with, and they played in it all afternoon. When Dave got home Brad talked him into sleeping in the tent, but it had to wait a night until Friday. Friday night the three boys went to sleep in the tent. Jack only made it until 11, then came to join me. Brad and Dave slept out all night. Brad woke up with a huge smile, and Dave woke up and tried to get out the window looking for the door.
