Happy Birthday Jack

Jack turned 2 on Thanksgiving day. All week I tried to explain it was going to be his birthday, but he was still pretty clueless when the day came. He got to open presents at home in the morning, at Grandma & Grandpa's in the afternoon, and then got his prized football from Jim & Inger and the girls in the evening.
Books for our little book worm.

Cars, cars, and more cars!
What a great way to take a nap...not to worry, I moved him.

Jack got a little scared when everyone started singing to him.

We love our Jack! He is such a fun boy...and he is all boy. He is never far from his cars, trains, or sports equipment. If you are not careful around him you will have a football in your face at any moment...trust me he has a good arm already. He loves to read, and every morning pulls out all the books he wants to read and we sit on his floor and start reading. Currently the No, David books are his favorite. He has them memorized and he will usually read them to me. We are so glad Jack is part of our family!

I had to add a baby picture (be glad I only added one)! This is the day Jack got to come home from the hospital. He was just about 2 weeks old. From the moment we put his car seat down Brad was so happy to have him home.

Progress

Life just keeps moving so fast around our house! And, again boring post with no pictures...hopefully I will get my new camera tomorrow, and then have some to post soon.

Dave got an early surprise Monday, he found out that he passed the last CPA test that he took. Yea! We had to call him 81 all day because that was his score. He thought he would have to wait until December to find out, but they posted them early. Tomorrow he takes the final test. His work got so busy this summer that he had to take a break from studying and testing. We will all be happy when he's done.

For me time is going fast and slow. I am, as most women at almost 36 weeks of being pregnant, ready for this baby to come. She has been working her way down the past few days, and I have become more uncomfortable. Dave did not believe me this morning when we were talking about it, then at my doc visit she verified that her head was way down, I am at a 4 and measuring 38 weeks (which is my usual 2 weeks early). I was excited to hear I was at a 4, I know I could stay that way for weeks. But, just knowing progress is going on and the end is near helps. So...now we wait, and start to get ready. We got out the baby stuff and I have started to wash everything. I am glad I started early...it could take a while at my slow speed. Other then baby stuff, time is flying! So much to do the next 2 weeks, and then maybe a little quiet time, or not. I may only get quiet time in the hospital. Right now the hospital has a restriction on visitors. You have to be 18 to visit anyone in the hospital. Unless they change that the next few weeks the boys will not get to come visit. I am really sad about that.

Brad is loving life and is so excited for Jack's birthday, Annie, and Christmas. He has been a big helper getting all the baby stuff out. He and Jack have tested everything and let us know what needs batteries. He is growing up so fast, and when we talk he amazes me what he knows or comes up with. He is a lot like me and comes up with some creative ideas to get his way.

Jack turns 2 on Thanksgiving. We are trying to get him excited about it, but he's still clueless. I am sure when he gets his presents and cake he will be excited. When we ask him what he wants for his birthday he will tell us, juice, cookies (he always wants a cookie) or mac and cheese. He is a pretty fun little boy, and is talking more and more each day. I love to hear him and Brad talking to each other.

Fun weekend...

...with no pictures. Boring I know. My camera is back to Best Buy hopefully for the last time before they just replace it.

Anyway, Dave's parents were visiting for the weekend. We went to ESPN Game Day at the AFA Saturday morning. That was fun! We tried to get on TV, but were too far in the back. Dave was just like a kid in a candy store and even did a cartwheel on the way out. Then Dave, Jim, Tom, Shirley, and Kimrie went to the Air Force vs. Army football game. Way to go Air Force! Inger and I opted out with the little kids. We went shopping to fill the time. Then we meet up for a yummy dinner at Zio's. We love Zio's!

Sunday we had breakfast together, went to church, and then met back up for dinner. The boys loved having Grandpa Tom and Grandma Shirley here. Brad loved playing wii with Tom. He made him a mii a few weeks ago, and has been excited for him to come play.

Thanks for the fun visit!

Good News

Here is the last Ultrasound that I should have of Annie. That is good news. The problem the Doc was watching with the Kidneys is all cleared...Yea!!! Since she is getting so big, 5 lbs now, this was pretty much all you could see of her face. We did get some pictures of her feet jabbing me right in the ribs. She really likes to do that...it feels great!

Halloween Fun

We had a fun Halloween this year. At the last minute Brad wanted to be Mickey Mouse, we are thankful grandma was close to save the day by making the costume since the Disney store was out. I wanted Jack to wear Brad bat costume from last year, but the one time I tried it on him he hated it, so he got to be a USC football player...not the best night for it, but he loved it and did not complain about it once. He loves anything sports already, so I think it was a better fit for him anyway.

Friday night we had a church Halloween party with a chili dinner, trick-or-treating, and ended with the spoke alarm going off from a fog machine. It was a nice way to get everyone out of the building so we could clean up and get home early.

Brad enjoying the giraffe giving him candy, his friend Tanner was not liking it so much.

Jack got 2 pieces of candy in each had and was as happy as could be.

Brad and his pumpkin.

Jack and his pumpkin.

This is how we carve pumpkins at our house...with a saw, on Halloween day. I am just happy I don't have to help too much. I love to see carved pumpkins, but I don't like doing it. The boys loved watching, and helping a little. Neither would touch the insides...thankfully Daddy will.

The finished products...I guess I need to get a better picture. And one of the boys together in their costumes. I have not been much for taking pictures the past few months. Hopefully I can get it together soon.

Jack in his spooky shirt...the loved it!

Saturday night we went to some friends for dinner and donuts. So, again this year we got out of taking the boys trick-or-treating. I figure we will try as long as we can.

I love this stuff!!!

I just got the Williams-Sonoma email announcing they have it in stores now...how long will I be able to hold out?

PS: I am 32 weeks today, only 7 weeks until Annie is scheduled to come...6 if she takes after her older brothers. And, for everyone else that means 8 weeks to CHRISTMAS!!! Can you believe it?!?!

When Daddy starts the dishwasher...

...make sure he knows to use the dishwasher soap, and not the dish soap!

I was trying to think of something to blog about since it has been forever. But, I have been camera lazy and have not taken any pictures in weeks. So, I was just going to the kitchen to get my ultrasound pictures from today, and lookie what care across. So, I had to grab the camera as Dave ran for some towels. The first picture is pretty blurry, I am sure because I could not stop laughing.

It all ended well, and the floor got clean in the process. I was actually a little sad the boys were sleeping...they would have loved all the bubbles!

I did post the ultrasound pictures...just keep scrolling down to see them.
